An attractive wine bar with outside tables overlooking the beach
Thanks Paula - this proposal is one of our questions in both the residents and visitors questionnaires soon to be circulated.
why not take on the old 152 restaurant ,that's available with all the above that you have asked for?why open another, when one sits vacant at the moment?is this a person with their own agenda here?
A take-away outlet (Indian?) that delivers would be nice for the less able
we have included a question about food outlets in the questionnaire to ask residents and visitors what they think we need
Things that it used to have, which may-be why we needed a steering committee years ago,ie a small injuries unit at that cottage hospital for weekends, this service could save a life.,Retain the free parking we had before s.c.c came along to cash in on revenue, from these and it seemed to work perfectly before, esp for people that live and work daily in the town, now we have dangerous and highly congested roads on the terrace and high street, and often a very empty car park, which a warden has to be paid to empty, seems crazy to me,why should we pay to park out-side our own front doors, when we already pay our business rates and domestic rates?this would encourage shoppers also to come into town,it always worked before, its simple when you think about it.or could be.
we also need more shelterd housing, for a rapidly growing elderly population.
a park and ride would help too.But yes a return of the railway, perfect.
Come to the parking and transport meeting on Thursday 2nd October Margaret at the Church Hall at 7pm. There are, as you might image, a range of views about parking which all need airing and the questionnaire is designed to give us some answers that the majority of the town will support. return of railway is impossible - too many reasons to explain here!
An improved Jubilee Hall would help many organisations.
Judi plans are afoot! Many people share your view and before too long we hope the Jubilee Hall trustees will feel able to share their plans with the wider public in the town as we have been encouraging them to do for some time.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
